Martin is the man. (Martin就是那个人)
I can depend on the man for help. (我可以依赖那个人(Martin)获得帮忙)
两句重复的地方就是the man(也就是先行词是the man)，
所以第二句的the man用关代来代替，而the man在第二句扮演的角色是受词，
先行词为人，又是受词(格)的功用，故关代用whom/that/who都可
合并後就变Martin is the man whom I can depend on for help.
Martin就是那个我可以依赖获得帮忙的人。
depend on为依赖、依靠的意思，
A depend on B：A依赖(依靠)B
所以depend on後面要有一个受词，当你缺少受词时，就是一个不完整的句子。
