The Geographic Information System (GIS) is a new program to collect digital maps and database. This program is very popularly used in manipulation, display, and analysis of spatial data. In this research will introduce the application event of GIS in these days's environment. In addition, I will discuss the system's possible practicability to environmental educational of Taiwan, and then I will talk about how much influence for environmental educational to this system. Finally, I will give some factors of success to develop the Geographic Information System. It includes the professional ability, the resources of GIS hardware and software, and availability of digital geographic data.
