The most famous case in the history of Taiwanese Law system could be a murder happened decade ago. The host and hostess were killed cruelly with hundreds of wounds and the whole process were witnessed by their little boy aged about 12. The crime was really a stunning news in Taiwanese society and loads of police officers joined the investigation and the suspects were found just a few days later. It seemed that everything was totally under control by the police. However, it was just the controversy it was. The reason why it become controversial is that even though the police did investigate the crime and collect the evidence, some procedures of the investigation were not legal so that the evidence became unsustainable. What’s worse,the rest of three suspects were charged with oral statement by the main suspect who was executed immediately. The three suspects also argued that they were questioned with torture in court. Some parts of the investigation were found illegal and then all the procedures became useless in court. So, it had finally become impossible for the judge to make a proper decision. Even though the judge finally gave a sentence of execution, no minister of justice have dared to permitted it since that time because it was too debatable a case and those three people were put in jail till few years ago. --
