We’re back to Top 4 in Asia. It’s exceed far from most people’s (of course include me) expectations. The team played many impressive games in this series. I watched all the games our team played. Amazingly, this team is stronger than any other Taiwan team ever, not the technique but the desire of winning. It’s just like coping the WBC in March, we face lots of tough opponents which beat us many times in the past ten years. Even in the quarter-final, we have to fight china the team we never beat them in history. However, we defeated Philippines at 84-79 in group stages and beat china at 96-78 in the quarter-final. These two incredible games inspire almost Taiwan basketball fans, and our team reverses these two games with trailing by 17 points midway through the second quarter to China and 13 points at the end of third quarter to Philippines. According to the past experience, it’s hard to believe that Taiwan team could achieve the incomprehensible mission. Our national team led us to have a sweet dream of World Tournament for a while. But we break up the wonderful dream after Taiwan team lost to Iran and South Korea. Against the severe intensive defense of the A-class team like Iran and South Korea, the shortcomings of Taiwan especially weak stamina and poor ball-handling are totally exposed. We’ll never blame our team for the loss in last two games. Contrarily, we should give them the biggest applause for this unforgettable performance. But if we want Taiwan basketball team to be a real A-class team, the players have to practice harder and harder……. Finally, I’m very proud of being a fan of the Chinese Taipei in this year. --
