Once I poured my heart out, and I lost it.
Once I acted out of innocence, and I lost it.
Indifference was learned in response to indifference.
Numbness was adopted at the sight of too much cruelty.
Coldblood was cultivated from chronic cynicism.
I was not so much a monster as a hollow man,
inability of true love,
while inactivity of true atrocities.
