Recently I’ve been thinking about initiating an interview practicing group. Is anyone interested in holding a mock interview? Here is the initial idea in my mind: 1. We form a group of say 5~6 people. 2. Each of us prepares questions that you expect to encounter in an interview AND the answers to these questions. 3. We take turn being the interviewee and rest of us will be the interviewers. 4. The language used will be, of course, English. This will be a non-online, in-person activity. The purpose of this activity is to simulate the tension and stress arisen when one speaks in front of a group of people, especially these who are to evaluate you. We must overcome the fear of public speaking before we demonstrate our professions. From my past experience, I know people wish one or two native speakers to be present in such study or training group. Unfortunately I have to confess that I am currently unable to find any. However, I believe this training group will still be valuable as we can always share our interview experiences and exchange thoughts.
