hello, everybody. I am Jimmy, the oldest administrator of this board 9 years ago. It has been a long time I haven't practiced my English. I practiced my Engish at my ex-job which is deal with the patent and trademark applications. When I was in college , I spent a lot of time studying Japanese. My Japanese proficiency test has got N2 level before I graudated, so I also can speak Japanese well and take view Japanese website. I love Japanese, so I can spent all of the time reading the Japanese drama and tv shows, news paper, chatting with my Japanese friends, on LINE in the real life. Exactly, my English ability has declined largely. Besides, when I studied Japanese in my collge life, I regard Japanese is the most beautiful language so I told myself it's not so necessary for study west language because Japanese is more catchy and adorable. Since then I became afraid to talk with westerners and I started to view the west people by judgement because their race and culture are totally different from us. I thought west people are not so friendly for asian because their concepts are totally different from easterners. My conception of the world became narrow, until one day I spot so many videos which I can see so many west people post their reaction to Korean pop music video . I thoght " oh my god, the west people also listening and watching the music come from Asia. So did I get misunderstanding with the people come from west? It's not only one or two , when you type "KPOP REACTION " into the serching bar on YOUTUBE, then you will find out there are so many west people watching KPOP videos until now. The west people hasn't looked down on Asian, if you had some characteristics attactive then you will also be respectful by them. It's a big culture gap, now for me learning English is not just for bussiness nessecity but also for getting more understading toward west countries. If we confined our orbit into Asia, then we will lost so many chances, not only on bussiness, but also a general world view. That's it.
