The Dutchman has decided to leave the Camp Nou after confirming that he had accepted the post as head coach of Ajax: "I have a two-year contract there and I am very proud about that," he said. "With this move I can carry on as a trainer. It could be my last job after 37 years in football." Three tremendous years The decision was not an easy one to make Ten Cate admitted because Barcelona felt like home: "I want to thank the players and the coaching staff for the welcome that they gave me and my family when we first came here," he continued. "They have been three tremendous years that I will take in my head and my heart with me to Holland. "Barc,a is not more than a club, it much more than a club," he added, before claiming that the Champions League was the highlight of his time at Camp Nou. "When we started this project I saw that people were very unhappy because the results had not been good over the past few seasons. During the celebrations on Thursday I saw that everyone in the street and in the stadium were delighted." Great atmosphere The atmosphere in the dressing has always been superb and as proof of this feeling Gio Van Bronkhorst, Carles Puyol and Albert Jorquera all attended the press conference to say goodbye. Also there were the club's technical secretary, Txiki Begiristain, the goalkeeping coach, Juan Carlos Unzue', and directors Cla`udia Vives-Fierro and Marc Ingla. Difficult to replace President Laporta praised Ten Cate for his work and for his contribution to the incredible form of the team: "Henk has been a key person in the success of Barca," he said. "We will miss him. I am sure that he will be a hard man to replace. The doors of the club will always be open to you and you will always have great friends in the players and the directors." When asked about who could take over as assistant coach Laporta stated: "We will accept any proposal that is made by the technical team." Family photo To conclude the goodbye ceremony, the technical team together with Laporta posed for a group photogragh. Rijkaard came out of the dressing room for the occasion and posed alongside his friend, whom he gave a huge hug. "This decision reflectsfavourably on Henry because he feels indebted to the Arsenal fans," he explained. "He is a player that could have gone where he wanted, and I honestly believe that he was excited about coming to Barc,a, but he has chosen to stay. I believe that he should be a good example to other players." 真的是蛮可惜的.......欧冠决赛上看到他杀过半场就很怕 如果能挖来还真的是会让BARCA再升级一等 虽然就算挖来要怎麽摆也是个问题.....XD 现在不来了.....而且Larrson又要回家了......Ezquerro说不定也会回去母队奋斗 Giuly如果不续约也就是明年踢完就回法甲...... MAXI上的又少.....能不能顺利的接上也是问题 也是要好好的去物色锋线的人选......不过没有边後卫的急迫就是了 要看看Begiristain在今年暑假要怎麽补强了 --
