原PO很弱比较不会写什麽心得但看别人写的不错的就想说来翻一下 算是帮这场比赛做个小小的结尾这样 (咦咦) 因为过不到几小时更大的挑战又要来了 赢或输 Rog is always our man. 一样理性一篇感性一篇 XDD 有点长不想看也可以直接end看球迷的网站截图 理性篇 I honestly think I was less drained, emotionally, after his matches against Roddick at Wimby 2009 and his two five set matches against DP that same year. I was not tapped this much after his Wimby 2008 final because there was a sense of lost hope after the first two sets. 我真的觉得 09 年他跟 Roddick 温网一场五盘、 Del Potro的两场五盘大战後我有比较 冷静、入定。我不把这场比赛跟温网莫再提那场连结起来，因为那场在头两盘後就有点绝 望的感觉出来了。 Before watching the match I did know he would win. I just felt he had done everything right up until this match. I wasn't worried about the outcome but I was worried more about having to watch it. All that Paul and Roger had worked so hard doing having to come to fruition in near-darkness against a man who hadn't lost all year would be a tall tall ask and even if I knew he would do it, I worried about it. I mentioned it to friends as well (that I thought he would win). Some were happy that I said it. Some said what I was saying was ludicrous. Right now I realise how much it didn't matter what I predicted. From the last match thread and what I thought he should do: 第一盘 ─ 所有我想要他做的事情他都做了，上个讨论串有说： As we look forward to the marquee semi (Nadal vs Murray is likely to be, in my opinion, the most boring match of the year) between him and Novak, I am intrigued by the match-up. Novak has made a streak of moving side-to-side endlessly and running down anything a human being of any proportion can throw at him, but he refuses to come to net on relatively shorter balls. Roger will have to continue this little variety romp of his and draw Novak in with the slice and run around the FH as much as possible to control the pace of the rallies. This match will come down to who dictates play. Both guys are attacking players. If for example, Roger was to play Simon, it would be about choosing the right plays. Here it's more about being in control of a point's dynamic, which of recent Novak has been doing better in their matches since Roger has seemed content to go toe-to-toe with him from the back. This time, Roger needs to draw him in, throw him back, misdirect rather than look for the open court which Novak expects. He needs to make Novak stop-and-start rather than run-and-run. It has to be a battle of athleticism, not of ball-striking, but of movement. He who moves the way he was brought up to move, shall win. Pulled the trigger early but smartly, hit behind Novak an awful lot. Mixed it all up and most importantly, EXECUTED perfectly. It was always going to be a question of whether he could actually bring it all together and he did. The rallies were long, and I think he was actually quite fine with it as long as he didn't get lulled into the BH crosscourt-BH crosscourt exchanges that Novak uses as a staple when beating him . For all the talk of his excellence, Novak is a remarkably one-dimensional attacking player. Pound the BH until you hit into an open-ish court. Roger was having none of it. He went for his forehand winners early in the rallies but not at idiotic moments. He was aggressive but not impatient. The slice came in after a couple off games. Soon after this, a great short chip return. It is testament to Novak's confidence that he held firm despite Roger red-lining his game like this. For me, since I felt Roger was the favourite, Novak was up against it. The crowd hardly cared for him, and the greatest player ever suddenly remembered who he was, and worse yet, had a plan! A really attacking player on his game beats even a slightly less attacking but superbly defensive player on his game (write that down ), every day of every year, and all this information coupled with the pressure of the streak and being number one finally was telling. Roger had a little too much going on, so much so that Novak was gasping for air for the first time in a long time. Masur said sometime during the match that Roger hadn't given Novak the same ball more than once in a rally. That, I assure you, is far more tiring for someone who likes to run side-to-side than heavy groundstrokes. This is why Roger was favorite to win as soon as he started. His volleys as usual were not stellar, but from all the clumsy volleying earlier in the tournament, the clumsy volleys in this match were made. It doesn't have to be pretty. It just has to be right. That's the point of doing it earlier in the tournament. Another reason never to look to your box. Another reason to have an idol like Federer. I did feel awful for Novak though. Roger continued to do the same. Novak's level was just a little lower. Woodforde 有说小德的父母第一盘後就离开包厢了，就 Woodforde 对小德的了解，他知道 小德会看包厢且不喜欢父母不在那。又一个原因绝不看包厢，又一个原因你的偶像叫 Roger Federer。但我是为他感到挺难过的啦。 Rog 还是跟上盘一样，小德的水平就还是低了一点。 SET 3 Mental let-down and Novak also started letting go and playing casually to a point where it became good quality nothing-to-lose tennis. Roger was still playing at a very high level and still making some great shots, but he was no longer red-lining it. I don't think any of it was related to his usual drops in focus. This was more a matter of how difficult it was to have to play at that level for so long. It was bound to happen. 第三盘 ─ 恍神。而小德也开始放手打那些没啥好输的的网球。Rog 水准还是维持非常之 高，好球也不断出现但状况已没那麽烫了。我想这跟他以往的专着度下降都无关，跟要长 时间维持高水准非常之难有关，是不可避免的。 A few things happened that would change things in the fourth set and would make life harder for Roger. One was that terrible pattern of BH CC rallies. Roger, sensing this, suddenly started throwing in a lot more slices, many were bluffs rather than the ones that really grip the court and make a double hander bend low. Novak identified this and probably thought two things, either of which would have helped him. The first was that Roger was getting tired (possible).The second was that Roger going to the well too often (the BH slice) was a sign of a lack of options. Roger was not throwing in too many drop shots since Novak is hard to get that way since unlike Rafa or DP, he stands quite close to the baseline. This was really a fifth set, which is why it will be considered one of the greatest matches in RG history, and easily the best of the year. 第四盘 ─ 承认呗！这真的是第五盘，也是为啥这场比赛会被视为法网史上最伟大的一场 比赛，也是今年无庸质疑最精采的一场比赛。 Roger still ended the third set respectably as opposed to how he had lost 6-2 sets to Novak before at the USO. I think the fact that he stayed with Novak mentally, helped. He knew the danger. And he was not going to let this lead go. He did a good job of trying physically though. By now Novak was getting more BH CC rallies, and Roger was throwing in the slice too many times. Novak was starting to read Roger's slower shots early and was hitting through them better.He had gotten used to them. 跟去年美网第四盘 Rog 以2-6输掉来比，这场第三盘是没输的太难看。我想跟小德心理上 互尬有帮助。他知道危机，也不愿让这领先溜走。他在坚持体能这方面做得很好，而小德 此时此刻反拍斜线越打越多，Rog 也切球切太多了。小德抓到 Rog 的短球就马上轰，也 越来越上手了。 Tiredness was affecting some of Roger's choices but the difference was that it wasn't to the degree that he would go away. His focus in this match was at its best in years. His second serve, despite being broken once, was Sampras-like. One clocked in at 181 km/hr. Ridiculous. He was not backing down today. That was real ballsy tennis. It was surprising because Roger usually treats an important return game as one in which he tries the aggressive return and then waits for a mistake. Here he went for the return and continued to swing freely. Part of me thinks he was feeling it in his legs and decided to swing freely. Another part feels he just planned to have a go. The first two. One real drop shot, not a cop-put; with purpose, with intent.And one sublime FH winner. Even if it got ugly from there I knew who was in it to win it, and who had more pressure on his shoulders out there. For us, it would seem like Roger was under pressure because he could finish it right there, but it seemed to me Roger was thinking more along the lines of, "I should have beaten this guy a set ago, so I'm going to go for it." This is the complete opposite of the attitude he had in the TB against DP at the USO. Here he had come with a plan and Novak hadn't really foiled it at all, just slowed him down. He was so confident in how he was going about things, that the aces came, and with it the glory. 第四盘抢七只要两分我就知道 Rog 会赢，前两分。一个真小球，不是逃避对抽（编按：原 作应该想说的是 cop-out），有目的，有意图。还有一个神之正拍。虽然比赛最後打得不 可开交但我知道谁会赢、谁感受到的压力比较大。对我们来说会觉得 Rog 的压力比较大因 为他大可早点把比赛结束，但就我看来 Rog 心里的 OS 是：「一盘以前我就该打败他了， 所以这边我要毫无保留。」这态度跟 Del Potro 美网打抢七时是完全相反的。这边他有计 画，且小德也没完全阻止，这让 Rog 更放松了。他对自己下一分要干麻很有信心。赛末发 球 ACE，荣耀也随之而来。 I'm too exhausted to even think about the final, but I will say that the first Federer moment of the year has occurred, irrespective of the tournament's eventual winner. I do not want him to think this way, of course, and I always expect the best from him, but tactically I haven't thought it through as an observer. Guga was great, but Roger gives us joy like no other. I have never reflected so much on any of his matches as I have on this one in the short period after a match. So much went into it. He has come back before, yes, but today involved than his usual will to win. Today was pure preparedness.
