It was a moment of redemption. And yet, there was recognition in the moment that his great rival was hurting and he held back his celebration. He is always the bigger man. His interview later said nothing about how he owns Nadal on this surface even though the interviewer suggested as much. Instead he focused on clay and their previous encounters on grass/hard courts. The truth was Nadal did not play terribly. Just 7 UFEs in 2 sets is pretty solid. But Roger toyed with him and did as he pleased.
