好像普遍有个错误的观念是Rog 不重视 DC，DC 比赛打很少。上礼拜瑞士拿下第一座 DC奖 杯後，很多数据可以摊开来检视与比较（对照组：众网球传奇们与另两位已拿下 DC 的Big 2）；这些细节一看之後，你会发现，Roger Federer 不只是个网球员，还是个很伟大的 网球员。而在如此欠缺队友奥援的国家队里，他如何一次又一次带领瑞士留在世界组，直 到Wawrinka今年大爆发，并在天时地利（但人差点不合XD，是讲Rog 的背伤唷～～八卦就 随风去吧。）的情形下在客场拿下 DC 冠军。Rog 对网球的热爱绝对超乎你我所想像。 有球迷就整理出一些客观事实与数据，原文附在底下，这边做个简单整理。 Rog 的第一座 DC 有五个特色是Nadal四座 DC 所没有的： 1. Rog 的DC是在客场、由地主选手所选的场地所赢下的（法国、红土）。综观Nadal 与 Djokovic都没赢过客场DC，他们的DC都是在自家主场、自己选的场地所拿下（Nadal是 2004、2009、2011年在西班牙红土、Djokovic是2010在塞尔维亚的硬地）。 2. Rog以高排名选手之姿，连打四轮的情形下拿下DC（第一轮、八强、四强、决赛）。四 轮比赛里有三轮都是Rog用赢球关门。Nadal在2008年跳过两轮没打（在阿根廷的决赛客场 、在秘鲁客场的第一轮）、在2009年跳过两轮没打（四强、八强）、在2011年跳过一轮没 打（在美国客场的八强）。Nadal仅於2004年打完第 轮到决赛，而这是他还是菜鸟的时候 。 3. Rog的DC是在缺乏板凳深度所赢来的（Federinka在八强与决赛里包办所有单双打）。 而西班牙舰队有多强大这不必多赘述了。即便是Nadal没打决赛的2008年，他们还是可以 在阿根廷客场硬地下拿到冠军。塞尔维亚也需要四名球员来赢下2010年的冠军。Nadal与 Djokovic在DC里也鲜少打双打（然而Rog在DC里却也常需担任双打角色）。直到最近Rog才 有个较稳定的二号球员（Wawrinka的DC战绩在这决赛前是23-25）。 4. Rog参予DC的数量简直突破天际（？）。与退休的顶尖球员、现在顶尖球员比都是数一 数二。 --- 14年的球员生涯里，Rog在26轮比赛里打了67点（2.58场／轮），其中21轮的比赛里 有单双打皆打。 --- 球员有赢至少五座大满贯里，Rog极有可能创下打最多DC比赛的纪录。Rog现在是排名 第三或第四：Rog （26轮打了67点；2.58）；Boris Becker（28轮打了66点；2.36）； John McEnroe（30轮打69点；2.3）；Stefan Edberg（35轮打70点；2）。Rog在每轮／每 点里已超越他们，只需再打四场点比赛、五轮DC就可以数据上完全超越他们（编按：但我 是不觉得这有多重要辣XD）。 --- Rog可能创瑞士队打最多DC比赛的纪录（编按：底下有数据大家可以自己拉下去看XD） --- Rog是现役顶尖球员里打最多DC的。Rog（26轮里打了67点；2.58）比Nadal（15轮里 打29点；1.93）与Djokovic（21轮里打37点）打更多轮与比赛。自从1999年第一次打DC以 来，Rog在瑞士的36轮里打了26轮（72%），Nadal则是32轮打了15轮（47%），Djokovic则 是29轮里打了21轮（72%）。Nadal极少打客场或非土场的比赛（编按：这边大家可以自己 拉下去看，就很少）。 --- Rog打DC是完全自愿而没有合约的。Wawrinka有跟瑞士网协签约，所以打DC可领钱。 前几年此笔收入甚至占他奖金收入大半）。 原文如下： Tony N: Federer has the most exceptional, comprehensive and balanced combination of accomplishments in men's tennis history... Federer's one Davis Cup title has five rare characteristics that Nadal's four DC titles do not have: 1. Federer won an 'away' Davis Cup final played on the opponent's choice of location and court (in France on clay court). Both Nadal and Djokovic never won or played in an 'away' DC final. They played only in DC finals at home on their preferred court surface (for Nadal it was Spain on clay court in 2004, 2009, 2011 DC finals; for Djokovic it was Serbia on hardcourt in 2010). 2. Federer won the DC having played all four rounds of the competition this year (first round, quarterfinals, semifinals, finals) as a top player -- indeed, Roger won the match that clinched the tie in three of those four ties. Nadal skipped two rounds in 2008 (DC final away in Argentina, first round away in Peru), skipped two rounds in 2009 (semifinal, quarterfinal), skipped one round in 2011 (quarterfinal away in USA). Nadal played all 4 rounds only once in 2004, when he wasn't a top player in rankings or on the team. 3. Federer won DC without a deep team (Federer-Wawrinka played all singles and doubles matches in the final and quarterfinal). Spain is so deep and strong that it would have won most of those four DC finals during the Nadal era -- even if Nadal did not play (e.g., Spain-without-Nadal won the 2008 DC final away in Argentina on hardcourts). Serbia needed four players to win its 2010 DC final. Nadal and Djokovic rarely play doubles in DC (unlike Federer who usually also plays doubles for his team). Until recently Federer did not have a consistent reliable second player (Wawrinka's overall DC win loss was 23-25 before this final). 4. Federer won DC in a year when he challenged for year-end No. 1 up to the end of the regular season. Nadal and Djokovic were never the year-end No. 1 -- or challenging for year-end No. 1 at the end of the season -- in those years when they actually played in the DC final. In those years that Nadal and Djokovic were year-end No. 1 they reduced their DC burden -- they either skipped DC or played intermittently. 5. Federer's exceptional record of participation is rare compared to the great players in history, compared to today's top players and compared to other Swiss players in history. - Federer has played 67 matches/rubbers in 26 ties (i.e., 2.58 matches per tie) in 14 years of DC competition. He played singles and doubles in 21 of his 26 ties. - Federer is likely to end his career with the best overall record of DC participation among all the great players in history (i.e, players who won at least 5 slams). Roger is currently third or fourth best: Federer (67 matches in 26 ties; 2.58 ), Boris Becker (66 in 28; 2.36), John McEnroe (69 in 30; 2.3), Stefan Edberg (70 in 35; 2). Federer has already surpassed them in matches played per tie. Roger needs to play just 4 more matches to surpass all three in matches played and 5 more ties to surpass Becker and McEnroe in ties played. - Federer is likely to end his career with the best overall record of DC participation in Switzerland’s DC history. Federer has played: (a) second most matches (to Jakob Hlasek's 79), (b) second most years of competitions (to Heinz Gunthardt's 15), and (c) third most ties (to Hlasek's 29 and Gunthardt's 30). - Federer's participation in DC is the best among today's top players. Federer (67 matches in 26 ties; 2.58 ) has played more matches and ties than Nadal (29 in 15; 1.93) and Djokovic (37 in 21; 1.76). Since his first tie in 1999, Federer has played in 26 (72%) of Switzerland's 36 ties -- compared to Nadal's 15 (47%) of Spain's 32 ties and Djokovic's 21 (72%) of Serbia's 29 ties. Nadal rarely played away matches and non-clay matches in the 15 ties that he chose to play: he played 10 ties in Spain and 11 ties on clay. On the other hand, Federer's 26 ties included 13 away ties (50%) and 9 clay ties (35%). In addition, Federer made the effort to travel and play several ties outside Europe (Australia twice, Russia, Morrocco, etc.). Nadal skipped every tie outside Europe (2008 DC finals in Argentina, 2007 quarterfinal in USA, 2011 quarterfinal in USA, 2008 Peru, 2013 Canada, etc.). - What's impressive about Federer's record of participation is that he played DC voluntarily without contract (for most of his career, Wawrinka was under contract to the Swiss national tennis federation and paid a fee to consistently play DC -- in previous years, this fee was usually a substantial part of his income). --
