The fact that Federer is still playing at this level is anomalous. Still, he is past his peak and past his prime, but still is highly competitive because he's the best ever. 上面的数据比较，排除Agassi，我想是因为他生涯前期出赛并不稳定。 it is impressive, unbelievable, really, it also shows that it's difficult to expect anything from players who have won slams and have reached #1 (and have played a lot early in their careers), to win anything after 30. The fact that he does makes him rather anomalous, but the exception doesn't discount the rule. 上面红笔处我想是人性。底下就是一些有成就（有大满贯+世界第一）球员年过30的表现： Edberg, Becker, Wilander, Courier, Rafter, Kuerten, Safin, Kafelnikov, and Roddickwon about 85 matches TOTAL between them, respectively, after they turned 30. They made TWO finals between them. Safin, Rafter, Kafelnikov, and Guga didn't win any. Moya did better and won about 80 matches and 1 title, got to 3 other finals. Musterwon 45 matches and got to a final. JCF won 55 matches and 4 titles. Sampras won one title (one BIG title) after turning 30, won 39 matches, and made 3 other finals after turning 30. He's that once in a lifetime professional athlete who is truly the total package. Thanks to him for playing still...hope it lasts much longer and that more finals turn into trophies. Tennis will likely be over to me once Roger moves on, and the entire sport will feel it, I'm sure. Same journo's bringing up retirement over and over will be writing columns begging for him to make a "comeback".
