il y a所描述的动作已经结束 完结
意思和的确ago差不多 使用的动词时态一定要是过去式
ex.J'ai habit/e en France il y a 2 ans.
(I used to live in France 2 years ago.)

il y avait是imparfait喔

这也是imparfait

depuis有好几个意思
(1)since
ex.Je suis en France depuis le mardi dernier.
(I have been in France cince last tuesday.)
(2)duration
ex.Je suis en France depuis une semaine.
(I have been in France for a week.)
