我觉得有两个点
1. in the previous election过去式
现在和过去比，时态要补出
2. 虚主词开头得比较和Ving整件事做为主词的句子
用子句对子句的句构较好
EX. (OG73)According to a recent poll, owning and living in a freestanding house
on its own land is still a goal of a majority of young adults,
as it was of earlier generation.
