and universities in the United States increased by more than twice from 1978
to 1985.
(A) increased by more than twice
(B) increased more than two times
(C) more than doubled
(D) was more than doubled
(E) had more than doubled
ANS : C
A. increased by more than twice
increased by 表示增加了多少
当初删 是觉得 increased by more than twice 句意怪怪的 但我不知道是词性的问题
还是 根本没有这种用法
B. 请问 如果选项改成 increased more than twice 这样是否就对了呢?
C.D 一起看
D使用被动 这边用主动即可 所以删
C 我可以接受 但 more 在这边的词性是做副词修饰doubled吗?
不知道为什麽一直觉得 more than doubled double 用作动词怪怪的....
补个我所知道 double 用作动词的用法
double in size/number/value etc
Within two years the company had doubled in size.
The church has doubled its membership in the last five years.
double the size/number/amount etc (of something)
A promise was given to double the number of police on duty.
麻烦各位指点一下迷津 我知道这个问题可能有点基本...orz
