标题[问题] 医院病理报告上英文单字与句子的问题

The specimen is 4.8 x 4.0 x2.5 cm in size and is covered with an
ellipse of skin, 2.8x0.5 cm. It is marked at 8 o’clock(2 suture
lines) ,nipple direction(1 suture lines) , and 8 o’clock (3 suture
lines) respectively.
Staining of p63 and SMMHC show maintained myoepithelial cells around
the
neoplastic ducts and in sclerosing adenosis lesions.
以上的病理报告有几个问题想跟大家问一下﹕
「The specimen is 4.8 x 4.0 x2.5 cm in size and is covered with an
ellipse of skin, 2.8x0.5 cm. 」这句话里「The specimen is 4.8 x 4.0 x2.5
cm in size 」的意思确定是「检体大小4.8 x 4.0 x2.5公分」没错。「is covered
with an ellipse of skin, 2.8x0.5 cm.」字面上的意思应该是「检体上覆盖一
块2.8x0.5公分的椭圆形皮肤」不确定是否是这个意思?(因2.8x0.5公分比4.8 x 4.0 x2.5
公分还小，且只有一块而已，没有办法把4.8 x 4.0 x2.5公分的检体完全覆盖住)
「It is marked at 8 o’clock(2 suture lines) ,nipple direction(1
suture lines) , and 8 o’clock (3 suture lines) respectively.」这句话看不
太懂意思?

」这句话里「SMMHC」的意思不晓得? 「maintained」在这里不知道怎麽翻? (在这里应该
是形容词修饰後面的名词)
「neoplastic ducts」的意思不晓得?
