MILAN - Wednesday's 2009/10 Tim Cup final between Inter and Roma at the
Stadio Olimpico will be the first Italian sporting event to be broadcast in
3D, the Lega Calcio has announced. Sixteen special television cameras will be
used to produce the 3D images.
Thanks to a collaboration between the Lega Calcio and The Space Cinema, the
cup final will be shown in eight cinemas in Milan (Odeon, Vimercate, Rozzano,
Cerro Maggiore and Montebello della Battaglia) and Rome (Moderno and Parco de
Medici). There will also be a screening at the Barilla Center in Parma.
