He went under the knife to stop internal bleeding and stabilise a fractured pelvis, but today surgeons operated on his right foot, which was heavily damaged in the fall. 之前是止住内出血、稳定骨盆，这次是在右腿动刀。 “The surgery was successful and his condition remains the same as yesterday,” explained Professor Pierpaolo Donadio of the Molinette hospital in Turin. 医生说：「手术成功，他的状况跟昨天一样。」 “This is a good sign, as the more time goes on, the less likely he is to run into complications. If on Thursday he was 1-0 up after 20 minutes of play, then today it's 1-0 at the half-hour mark. We put the broken bones back in place and stabilised them with wires. It was urgent surgery, as if time went on then the bones might not have healed. He had some very complicated fractures and the heel risked paralysis.
