Thuram rejects Plan B

French international defender Lilian Thuram has confirmed that
he has no desire to play for Juventus in Serie B next season.
The Bianconeri are facing up to life in the Second Division after
Friday's Calciopoli verdicts were delivered,
but Thuram has no intention of following them down.
“There is only a very slim chance that I will play
for Juventus in Serie B,” said the 34-year-old stopper.
Thuram说：「我会为 JUVE踢义乙的比赛微乎其微。」
“For now, I haven't spoken too much with the club about my future,
but I do hope that there is enough time to find a new team so that
I can stay in the top-flight.”
「目前我还没跟球会谈太多自己的未来，
不过我希望有足够的时间找到新球队让我能继续待在顶级联赛。」
The former Monaco and Parma defender has been linked with a number of
clubs even if Barcelona have been consistently paired with the veteran.
And Thuram, who has now retired from international football following
the World Cup Final defeat to Italy, seems attracted by the idea of
a Nou Camp switch.
“We'll see what happens,” he added. “Even if Barcelona would be
a nice destination for me should I move on.”

Although Thuram is still contracted to Juventus, he is set to
be available for transfer for as little as ￡1m given his age.

The 1.85m tall figure initially moved to Serie A from Monaco in 1996
and joined Juventus in the summer of 2001.

Furious Thuram slams Materazzi

Lilian Thuram has launched an extraordinary attack on
Italy defender Marco Materazzi. “Players like him shouldn't exist,”
said the Frenchman.
The Juventus stopper launched his broadside at the Inter ace
after the latter clashed with Zinedine Zidane in the World Cup Final.
Despite the Italian being on the receiving end of a Zizou head-butt,
the 34-year-old insists that Materazzi is the one who instigated
the incident through provocation.
“The people who provoke should be the ones punished,”outlined Thuram.
Thuram谯 Materazzi造成 Zidane吃红牌的行为，
他说：「引发争端的人才应该被惩罚。」
“Certain players like Materazzi shouldn't even exist
because they are the sickness of this game and give a negative image.
「某些像 Materazzi这样的球员根本不应该存在，
因为他们是球赛的病源，给人负面的印象。」
“Unfortunately, my teammate just fell into the trap.
Materazzi heavily insulted Zidane's family and I therefore
understand Zidane's reaction even if he shouldn't have done it.”
「很不幸地，我的队友只是掉进了陷阱，
Materazzi严重污辱了 Zidane的家庭，
所以我能理解 Zidane的反应，尽管他不该这麽做的。」
Despite the red card, Thuram concedes that the dismissal of Zidane
probably had little to do with the outcome of the game.
“I don't think his sending off affected the result of the match,”
concluded the want-away Juve stopper.
不过对於 Zidane的红牌退场，Thuram说：
「我不认为他被赶下场影响了比赛的结果。」
Italy won the tie 5-3 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 with
both Zidane and Materazzi finding the target in normal time.

Thuram基本上已经是踢一天算一天了，想走无可厚非，
而且上赛季末的时候他连先发位置都快保不住，留下来也是多付薪水，
还不如让 JUVE把握机会培养年轻人，年薪比起来搞不好连十分之一都不用。
至於 Thuram为什麽突然跑出来谯 Materazzi？
想必是事後被告知 Materazzi说了什麽，谁告知的跟内容正确与否都未知，
可以肯定的就是内容绝对跟种族歧视有关，Thuram只会为这件事动怒，
不然论赛场上的动作，他只是比 Materazzi精细巧秒又隐蔽罢了。 XD
