INDIANAPOLIS -- Landry Fields said Jeremy Lin’s regular-season-ending
surgery serves as motivation for the Knicks to get as far as they can in the
playoffs.
Landry Fields认为，Jeremy Lin在例行赛接近尾声时动刀激励了尼克队要用尽全力，
在季後赛走得更久更远。
Fields is Lin’s best friend on the club. Lin slept on Fields’ couch the
night before his breakout performance against the Nets on Feb. 4.
Landry是Jeremy在队上最好的朋友，二月四日对篮网一战成名前夕还曾出借沙发给
Jeremy过夜。
“It’s tough, tough for him,’’ Fields told The Post. “He got us playing
for him, is basically what it comes down to. I know how strongly he wanted to
come back and help the team. And hopefully by the time he’s healthy, we’re
still playing and he can do that.’’
Landry表示：「对他而言这整件事很不好受，但最重要的是我们会为他继续奋战。

Last night, the Knicks announced Lin had successful surgery on his chronic
small meniscal tear in his left knee in a procedure performed by team
orthopedist Dr. Answorth Allen at Manhattan’s Hospital for Special Surgery.
Lin tweeted afterward, “Praise God for a successful surgery. Road to
recovery.’’

Before the surgery, Lin tweeted: “I’ll return from this surgery
stronger/faster than before and hopefully in time for the playoffs.’’
手术前，Jeremy在推特上写着：「手术後我会变得更强壮/速度更快，
希望能打进季後赛。」
Lin’s timetable is “approximately’’ six weeks, but hope is a quick
response will beat that projection. A renowned Northwestern University, Dr.
Wellington Hsu, said his recovery could take a month if the level of
arthritis found in the knee was minimal.

“The kind of player he is, it’s kind of a blow for us,’’ Fields said. “I
know we’ll find strength and other guys will step up in his place.’’

Knicks interim coach Mike Woodson said he’ll use a point-guard-by-committee
to “help us until the time Jeremy might come back. I don’t know. We’ll
wait and see.’’
尼克队替补教练武僧表示他在Jeremy「可能回来之前」会让几名控卫轮流上阵。
