The agent of Celta Vigo striker Edu has confirmed the Brazilian is close
to finalising a move to Real Betis.
"Celta already has an offer. If (Celta president) Horacio Gomez accepts
the conditions of payment, we are going to Madrid to sign," said Manuel
Pericet yesterday.
Betis are believed to have tabled an offer of ￡3.5 million for Edu,
though the deal may be dragged out with Celta demanding that Betis take over
the outstanding payments they owe the player.
