标题[问题] 如何让定理与证明後面的陈述换行开始?

我想要将定理和证明後面的陈述移到下一行开始
下面是我的指令:
\theoremstyle{plain}
\newtheorem{thm}{Proposition}
{\newline}
\renewcommand{\proofname}{Proof}
{\newline}
\begin{thm}
xxx
\end{thm}
\begin{proof}
$xxx=xxx$
\end{proof}
结果如下:
Proposition 1. xxx
Proof. xxx=xxx
可是我想要编译出来的结果是如下:
Proposition 1.
xxx
Proof.
xxx=xxx
想请问要怎麽改,谢谢大家.
