No, I did NOT mean to say pdflatex won't have the shrinking problem. It still will if width and height are not added in the command.
The last paragraph has noting to do with your question. I simply want to say my preferred editor/compiler TeXwork.
Since I saw your line of commands above and that is interpreted as 3 clicks of icons to me. I am providing information saying the pdflatex procedure only requires 1 click of icon.
