1. I, simply a LaTeX user, have no idea why "round" is not a default value when you applied it, because so many factors can render the setting differently. In your case, I happened to know choice of () or [] can be set, thereby provide my suggestions.
I told myself, if this doesn't work, I will study your MWE and try to hack the problem.
2. I always find manual from internet. Those well-known packages can be easily found and kept in a directory.
