ASHA’s Board of Ethics has jurisdiction to adjudicate ethics complaints
against four classes of individuals—members, certificate holders,
Clinical Fellows, and applicants for membership or certification.
A complaint that involves a business entity, hospital, clinic, or school
will not be accepted for adjudication unless there is also a nexus
between an individual within the Board’s jurisdiction and the alleged
unethical conduct.
