标题问题] 何谓nonsingleton

今天在念fft时，看到一下句子:
fft(X) is equivalent to fft(X, n) where n is the size of X in the first
nonsingleton dimension.
看不太懂何谓nonsingleton....要怎麽以最简单清楚的例子来解释呢?
