HOUSTON -- Former first-round pick Jason Castro, who will compete for the
starting catching job this year, and right-hander Chia-Jen Lo were among
five non-roster players invited by the Astros to Major League Spring
Training next month in Kissimmee, Fla.
The club also invited catchers Brian Esposito and Lou Santangelo and
right-handed pitcher Shane Loux to Spring Training.

Lo, 23, was a combined 1-2 in 42 relief appearances at Lancaster and
Corpus Christi with a 2.10 ERA and four saves and was the winning pitcher
for the World team in the All-Star Futures Game. He's a native of Taiwan.
"We think he's got a legitimate chance to make our club," Wade said.
"We're very pleased with what we've seen in a short period of time in our
organization."
