MANCHESTER UNITED, UNITED, MAN UTD is our name, NOT MAN U. 2. Munich is the greatest tragedy in Uniteds history. Losing the league to Arsenal is not a disaster. February 6th 1958 is the most important date in Manchester Uniteds history. 幕尼黑空难是曼联历史上最大的悲剧。相形之下把联赛冠军输给阿森纳算不得一场 灾难。1958年2月6日是曼联历史上最重大的日子。 3. Denis Law DID NOT relegate Manchester United. Birmingham City did. 让曼联降级的不是Denis Law，是伯明翰城。 (这个典故我另外再讲...) 4. There is not a waiting list for Season Tickets at Man Utd. There are so many people wanting them the waiting time would be too long so they abandoned it years ago. 曼联的季票没有等候名单。有太多的人在等，要等的时间又太长，所以多年前他们就 放弃了。 5. It's not difficult to get tickets to at least 3-4 games a season at Old Trafford. 每个赛季买到至3-4场OT比赛的球票并不是那麽难。 6. United did not come into existence in 1993. We were formed in 1878. The last few years are but a small part of our history . 曼联不是1993年凭空出现的。我们建立於1878年。最近这几年只是我们历史上的一小 段罢了。 (意指经过70,80年代曼联的黑暗岁月，到了90年代英超成立後建立王朝部分球迷 酸曼联没有过去。这跟今日的切尔西被嘲笑没历史是100%不同的。XD) 7. Manchester City (Bitters) are our local rivals. Liverpool (Dippers) are our fiercest rivals, and Bolton (Inbreds) are another local rival. Everton (Granny Stabbers) are rivals, but arent hated as much as Liverpool. 曼城（Bitters）是我们的近敌，利物浦（Dippers）是我们最大的敌人，博尔顿（ Inbreds）是我们另一个近敌。（在58年惨案後我们到他们的主场比赛，它们的球迷居 然用手做出一种类似飞机坠毁的手势！）埃弗顿（Granny Stabbers）也是我们的敌人 ，不过我们不像恨利物浦那麽恨他们。 这是早期结下梁子球队的名单，好像忘了列出Leeds的样子。当然这几家球队现在的 主教练跟老头关系不错 (比方说Moyes跟前Bolton教练Sam大叔)。 当然这10年来我们又多了Arsenal这个新欢。另外Bolton球迷作出飞机坠毁的手势後 好像被诅咒永远拿不到冠军。 8. Cantona was the 2nd King of Old Trafford. Denis Law was the first Eric Cantona是OT的第二位国王，第一位是Denis Law。 9. The Theatre of Dreams was a name given to Old Trafford by Bobby Charlton. OT的「梦剧场」的名字是Sir Bobby Charlton命名的。 10. Our greatest achievement occured on May 26th 1999 when Manchester United won the European Champions League ( the second time in our history) and in doing so completed an unprecedented treble of the English football league title, the FA Cup, and the European Champions league. No other side in English football has achieved that 我们最伟大的成就是1999年5月26日夺得欧洲冠军杯（我们的第二座），史无前例的 捧得了英超，足总杯和欧洲冠军杯三冠王。英格兰足球上史没有其它球队能有此成 就。 11. The last player to transfer between Manchester United and Liverpool directly was Phil Chisnall in 1964. He went on to be the first player to be shown on Match of the Day. Manchester United were originally called NEWTON HEATH LYR. ( Lancashire and Yorkshire Railways). The original kit was green and yellow. 曼联最早的名字叫牛顿希斯LYR（兰开夏和约克郡铁路）。 最早的球衣是绿色加黄色的。 13. Alex Ferguson is the most successful manager in British history, having won every domestic title in England and Scotland. 老头是英伦历史上最成功的教练，赢得过英格兰和苏格兰所有国内比赛的冠军。 14 Rio Ferdinand did not fail a drugs test. He missed a scheduled drugs test. Rio不是没通过药检，他错过了药检的时间。 (这件事情感觉好像才过没多久吗...XD) 15. Old Trafford is the largest club ground in the country, holding just over 68,000 seats. Of which normally 3000 are allocated to away supporters. OT是这个国家最大的俱乐部球场，有超过68,000 个座位，其中有3000个座位是 分给客队球迷的 。 (注：去年已经扩建到76,000了，至於客场球迷可能要查一下。) 16. The United faithful prefer to sit in the Stretford End. ( The West Stand) 曼联铁杆喜欢坐在Stretford看台 (西看台)。 (因为西看台正後方的城镇叫做Stretford，这个之前讲过了。) 17. United are NOT the richest club in the world. They are however the team with the largest support on this planet. 曼联不是世界上最富有的俱乐部, 然而绝对是这个星球上支持者最众多的俱乐部。 18. Ryan Giggs has now won 8 premiership titles, a joint record. United hold the record for the most FA cup victories and Charity shield wins. We trail Liverpool by 3 league titles, and 2 European cups. Giggys到目前为止赢得了8个英超联赛冠军,是史上纪录。曼联还保有赢得最多足总杯 和慈善盾的纪录。我们比利物浦少获得3个联赛冠军, 2个欧洲冠军。 (现在追到剩下2个联赛冠军了，另外慈善盾是社区盾以前的名字。 还有欧洲冠军被拉开一个了，别忘了2005年利记又下一成。) 19. United fans never mock Hillsborough. Its a no go area. We do not lower 　　ourselves to the levels of those that mock Munich. 曼联球迷从不嘲弄希尔斯堡惨案。那不是好的行为。我们从不把自己的水准降低到和 那些嘲弄慕尼黑空难的家伙一样。 20. United do not deserve to be handed trophies. They have to be won.
