Juan Mata - 5 Tried to make things happen but, as Romelu Lukaku's foil, was never bound to have much joy. Andreas Pereira - 4 Switched from midfielder to attacker but barely offered anything in attack. Predictable on the ball and ineffectual. Romelu Lukaku - 3 His heavy first touch denied United an early goalscoring chance and things did not improve for Lukaku, who may have played his way out of the Liverpool side. Subs Ashley Young - 6 Crossed for Marcus Rashford's goal. Marcus Rashford - 7 United's best player.
