Man United beat Granada in their Europa League quarter-final first leg and here
are how the players rated.
David de Gea - 7
Handled some straight but firm shots from Kenedy faultlessly. Confident night,
even if he did not have a 'proper' save to make.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 7
Excellent composure in his own third that he should transmit to the final third
more often.
Victor Lindelof - 8
Fabulous pick-out for Marcus Rashford's goal and bailed out Harry Maguire when
he was beaten by Yangel Herrera.
Harry Maguire - 7
A largely serene night alongside Lindelof, save one transgression. Showed
adventure in the final third a couple of times.
Luke Shaw - 6
Maintained his consistent performance level but booked and suspended for the
second leg. Substituted at half-time.
Scott McTominay - 6
Shielded the back four next to Paul Pogba and then Nemanja Matic. Also banned
for next week's return leg.
Paul Pogba - 6
Seemed inhibited by his early yellow card and the card-happy referee
contributed to Pogba's second-half removal.
Daniel James - 6
Said it all he only ever looked a threat off the ball. Looked restricted again
on the right wing and livelier on the left.
Bruno Fernandes - 6
Whined too much in the first-half and never looked likely in the second until
he won a penalty that he converted.
Marcus Rashford - 7
Overcame apparent discomfort at the start to score superbly before coming off
just past the hour.
Mason Greenwood - 4
Still too raw to expertly lead the line. Often isolated and naive when he did
get the ball and moved to the right to accommodate Edinson Cavani.

Alex Telles - 7
Handy at dead ball situations and from open play.
Edinson Cavani - 6
Finally played in the Europa League for United. More experienced than
Greenwood.
Nemanja Matic - 5
Harshly booked.
Donny van de Beek - 5
Another cameo.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - 7
Retaining Rashford was vindicated, ditto the clear-and-obvious back four even
though Telles came on at the pause.
