Only one problem: The Mavs would have to trade up to No. 2 or 3 to get the kid who has been compared to a young Jason Kidd. Maybe some more creative minds could put together a package that would make sense for Memphis or Oklahoma City. I don't see any combination of Mavs personnel and assets that could even keep the GMs for those teams on the phone. Dirk isn't going anywhere, so we won't even discuss that as a possibility. Josh Howard just isn't valuable enough, especially to young teams in the rebuilding process, to move the Mavs up that high in the draft. Jerry Stackhouse and Erick Dampier are nice chips in this summer's trade market due to their contract status. But the Grizzlies and Thunder don't have any awful contracts on their books, so Mark Cuban won't be able to persuade them to pull the trigger on a financially motivated deal. Sorry, Mark, can't help you here. But check the comments section for some GM advice that's worth every penny you pay for it. --
