MIAMI (AP) - Heat backup center Alonzo Mourning has a partial tear in hi
s left calf and will be out two to four weeks.

Mourning was hurt Wednesday night in Miami's loss at Detroit. An MRI exa
m performed Thursday showed the tear, which means Miami could be without
him for anywhere from six to 14 games - or possibly until the first rou
nd of the playoffs open in late April.
In 65 games this season, Mourning has averaged 7.8 points, 5.5 rebounds
and 2.66 blocks behind Shaquille O'Neal.
Michael Doleac is expected to move into the primary role spelling O'Neal
for the Heat, who host Charlotte on Friday night.
