Dear Leaders, 名位领导先进： There are 3 and half months from our 2009 Spring-Convention and speech contests which will be held on April 25-26 2009 in Kaohsiung City. According to the past experience, a complete and corrective pre-contest preparation is the only way to win the contests. In fact, most junior members still feel nervous and ignorant of the speech contests. It's very difficult for them to obtain benefits from these speech contests in this situation. So, how to give them a suitable pre-contest guidance is becomi ng our leaders' responsibility. 本地区总会的年度春季大会及演讲比赛，即将在四月二十五及二十六日举行，至今只剩下 三个半月而已。依据许多经验显示，充分及正确的赛前准备是致胜的唯一法则。事实上， 很多会员对演讲比赛的准备既害怕又陌生，根本无法从比赛过程 中获得好处。 因此，如何在重要的赛前给予会员适当的指导，是各位领导的重要任务。 A sentence said that “a coach is unnecessary a good winner, but a contestant without a good coach will be difficult to win.” For this reason, I'll presen t some data or information for your reference. I also hope that you will offe r your idea to combine together to become a complete one for our members' refe rence in the future. I believe that they will obtain many benefits from contes t. 俗语说，教练不一定是优胜的选手，但没有教练的指导，选手将很难获胜。为此，本人将 已收集的资料提供给大家作参考，也盼望各位先进提供你们的宝贵经验，将来整合成更完 整的资料，使更多会友能 从充分及正确准备演讲比赛中获益。 The following key points are my suggestion for the pre-contest preparation: 以下是赛前我们领导者要注意的事情： 1. Mental construction: let them know the meaning and benefits of the contest. 心理建设：告知演讲比赛的意义及好处。 　 　 2. Interval between 2 level contests: The ideal interval between 2 contests (in-club to Area contest or Area to Division contest) is 2 weeks. No more than 3 weeks or no less than 1 week is the best choice. So, the in-club speech contest this year is better to hold after March 15. We need to ensure members to have enough time to prepare their speech scripts which include pre-contest training programs (Speech contest, contest rules and judging training which may be provided by Club or Area). 两次比赛的理想间隔时间：以二周为宜，不少於一周，也不要多於三周。因此，今年的会 内比赛宜在三月中旬前举行就可以了。让会员在农历年後有一个多月的 时间准备，包括 为我们为会员举办的一些“赛前训练讲习”。 3. Pre-speech contest training workshop: Usually, the Club or Area, even Divis ion, will hold a pre-contest training workshop to help members know how to pre pare a script for their humorous or international speech contests. 比赛前演讲训练讲习会：每次比赛前举办这种讲习，让会员了解如何准备一篇幽默演讲稿 或国际演讲比赛之演讲稿。 往年都有会内，区级及部级的讲习，效果很好。建议春节後尽快举行。 4. How to hold a speech contest： - a special information trains member to kn ow the procedure and rule of conducting a successful speech contest: ( Area Gov ernor's handbook, p. 60.). For fulfilling the requirement of new CL Award and conducting a successful speech contest, I suggest that every club begin to orga nize 2 committees for the two speech contests (International speech and Table Topics contest) and nominate a contest-chair and some assistants to prepare the 2 contests. (See the attached file--Contest chairperson and master's address content) 训练如何准备及主持各级演讲比赛：在区总监手册第 60 页有专章介绍主持演讲比赛的程 序及规则，使演讲比赛具公平、公正且圆满达成。为达到新领导手主席职位的需求及指导 一个成功的演讲比赛，我建议各分会赶快成立二个演讲比赛 委员会(即席及国际演讲比赛 委员会)并指派比赛主席各一位及助理若干位，详阅考考资料後，进行演讲比赛的筹划工 作。( 请参考附件 - 如何做好演讲比赛及节目表 ) 5. Speech contest rule and judge training: Knowing well the rules and yourself will easy to win the contest, so, it's our duty to train our members to know well about the contest rules and judging criteria. (See the attached file---In tl Speech Contest Rule) 比赛规则及裁判规则训练讲习：知彼知己，百战百胜，因此让会员充分了解这些比赛及裁 判规则，是我们领导干部的责任。(请参考附件 - 国际演讲比赛规则之综合解释及常见问 题的探讨 - 曾登?於 2008 年秋季大会会刊。) 　 　 6. Key points of different speech contests: 各种演讲比赛的要诀： 　 (1). Humorous speech contest: Understand well the meaning of humorous speech then you will have ability to add humor in your future speeches and make every speech more attractive. In fact, it is a skirmish of international speech contest. 幽默演讲比赛：要先了解幽默演讲的意义及要诀，才能训练出演讲带幽默的技巧，并应用 於未来的任何演讲中，使演讲更出色引人。其实幽默演讲是国际演讲比赛(国台语演讲比赛 )的前 哨战，任何人都不能错过。(请参考附件 - 如何准备演讲会幽默演讲比赛的演讲稿 ）。 　 　 　 　 (2). Evaluation speech contest:(See The basic evaluation form for speech con test)讲评比赛：(请参考附件 - 讲评记录表及如何编写一篇讲评的建议表。) 　 　 　 　 (3). Table Topics speech contest: 即席演讲比赛：(请参考附件 - 如何成为优秀的即席演讲人及即席问答的组织结构表。) 　 　 　 　 (4). International speech contest: Add some suitable humor and speech skills in every 4 kind of Speeches (Informing, entertaining, inspiring and persuading speeches) will make an excellent contest speech and win the con test. However, most winners will focus on the touching and inspiring or persua ding stories, especial the personal success or life changing stories, and perf orm with humor to win the contest. International speech can be any kind of 4 d ifferent purpose speeches, but the humorous speech must be entertaining speec h only. 国际演讲比赛 (国台语演讲比赛)：四种目的的演讲（即告知、 娱乐、激励及说服性的演 讲）中，加入适当的幽默成份及演技，皆可成为一篇杰出的演讲而获奖。但大部分的优胜 者都重於感动人心的激励说服性演讲，尤其是个人成功或人生转变的感人故事，以幽默化 方式演出，最易掳获人心。而上述的幽默演讲则纯为 娱乐性演讲而已。(请参考附件 - 幽默演讲与具幽默式内涵的演讲 - 曾登於 2006 年秋季大会手册。) 　 　 　 Please save the file for future use.
