Jari Litmanen determined to play in the Arena
Former Ajax ace Jari Litmanen has revealed that he decided to sit out
Finland's important World Cup qualifier against Armenia in order to boost his
chances of playing against the Netherlands on Wednesday. Although the injury
prone attacking midfielder has been troubled by a thigh injury for some time,
he is determined to feature in World Cup qualifying on Wednesday.
"I'm troubled a lot by my thighbone and didn't want to force anything,"
the Finn told De Telegraaf about his absence from Saturday's win over Armenia.
