First all the qualification matches for the EC 2008 in Austria and Switzerland and then hopefully the tournament itself. I feel relieved now that I have made my decision, so it's obvious that I am looking forward to it! It took a while before I was able to make the decision. After the elimination against Portugal during the World Cup it took me a while before I got over it. Longer then I expected. The expectations were very high. Images of the game kept on flashing thru my head. We could have won, we should have won. There was nothing I could do about it. But I wanted to turn back the time. I felt bad. On my holiday in Spain I started to feel better. Serenity returned in my head and in my body. And I started thinking about my international career. I was ready for another year with Manchester United. Train again with the rest of the team, I imagened how it would be to stop playing for Holland.
