Skysports.com Roeder warns Mac over Owen By Alex Livie - Created on 4 May 2007 　　Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder has stressed that he would be unhappy if Michael Owen was asked to play for England's B side at the end of May. 　　Owen made his first start since suffering cruciate knee ligament damage at the World Cup when playing 90 minutes against Reading on Monday. 　　The outing against Reading proved to be Owen's first of the season in Newcastle colours, aside from a behind-closed-doors friendly, as Roeder felt the forward did not need to demonstrate his well-being in the reserves. 　　And Roeder believes a similar scenario should apply to the national side, with the Magpies chief feeling the 27-year-old does not need to prove his fitness for the full international with Brazil in the B game against Albania on 25th May. 炮德强调，如果Owen要参加月底那场英格兰B队比赛，他会不爽。 由於之前Owen在复出前并没有参加任何预备组赛事 只有在复出前踢过特别安排的闭门友谊赛。 炮德认为，没必要利用预备组赛事来肯定Owen的状态 故同理，英格兰国家队没必要在对巴西的友谊赛之前 特别在 5/25 安排一场对阿尔巴尼亚的B级赛事 　　"I would be very surprised," said Roeder. "It would be a little bit like the reason I did not play Michael Owen in a reserve game - he did not need to play in a reserve game before playing for the first team. 　　"Does Michael Owen need to play for England B before he puts on the England shirt again? I would say no. 　　"That would not be my decision, but I would be surprised and I would not want him to play an England B game. 　　"I do not think it is necessary for him to have to play in the B game, personally.
