FOLLOWING completion of the takeover of Newcastle United PLC by St James
Holdings Limited, Newcastle United PLC announces today that Chris Mort has
replaced Freddy Shepherd as Chairman of the Company.
随着 St James Holdings Limited 完成了收购後，Chris Mort 取代 Freddy Shepherd
成为了现任的主席。
Mr Mort said: "I am delighted to become Chairman of such a fabulous club.
Since arriving at St. James' Park I have been hugely encouraged by the warm
welcome I have received from so many supporters.
Mr Mort 表示他因为来到这後受到支持者的温暖欢迎而受到极大的鼓舞。
"The strategic review of the Club is going well and, with the new season
fast approaching, we feel the time is right to make the change.
随着新赛季很快的来临，高层认为这是适合的时间来作改变。
"I would like to thank Freddy Shepherd for all he has done for the Club
over the last 15 years."
新任主席 Mr Mort 感谢 Shepherd 在这的15年所作的一切。
