The club are set to lose four players to the African Cup of Nations in the New Year, and Allardyce is worried that he will be left short of defensive options. After bringing in nine players in the summer though, the Newcastle board are unwilling to finance another spending spree. Mort has made the situation clear to the manager, and any arrivals on Tyneside will be young players which the club can develop for the future. 主席：就是不给你钱花～～ Not the solution "We had nine new signings in the summer. I think part of the difficulty we've had, particularly in defence, is getting guys working together," the chairman told the Daily Mirror. "I'm not convinced adding another two names in defence is necessarily going to be the solution this season.
