News that we're being linked to a close season move for Manchester City defender Richard Dunne does raise the possibility of Joey Barton being re-united with a former colleague who he hasn't always seen eye to eye with... City's 2005 pre-season tour of Thailand is remembered for a hotel bar fracas in which Barton tussled with a teenage Everton fan, before becoming entangled with Dunne - who was attempting to act as peacemaker. During the ensuing disturbance it's claimed that Barton bit Dunne on the hand and once they were separated, the latter broke his foot when kicking at a wall in frustration. (In fairness the two players went on to play in the same City side the following season - although reformed bad boy Dunne's positive influence obviously wasn't infectious).
