People would tell me all the time that I should try out for the show, when there was a casting in LA, I tried out and made the show. Do you think your elimination was fair and if not who do you think should have left? I was more than surprised! This was the best feed back that Jay had given me and I had no fear going into panel. When the judges start edcriticizing my picture, I was like "What??!! Are you even communicating with Jay?" It was just a little weird to me. [Later] Jay hated Aminat's picture! Also, Aminat was on the bottom three times and this was my first. Do you agree with Tyra's point that you are uninspiring? Tyra can pick any picture she wants. Who knows... the show is very... shady almost. I don't know their intentions, the experience was strange... I have mix ed feelings about it. Overall did you think that you were portrayed fairly? No, I wasn't portrayed fairly. It was disgusting to me what they showed. I am not snobby, I am down to earth, I'm not wealthy. Yes, I said I have not worked a day in my life, but I am eighteen - I'm a college student and lots of people my age haven't worked. They edit to make me look bad... things were cut and pasted together. If I was such a bad person, why did they did they have to do all that to make me look that way, I guess they did a good job, because it work ed. Do you regret going on Top Model? No, because the exposure is worth it. But I don't like what happened.,.. I had such a positive image in the industry and also with my friends and their parent s. Well as they say, any publicity is good publicity. Now that you are out of the running, who are you rooting for to become America' s Next Top Model? Allison... she has a look that hasn't been seen before. She is super sweet and was one of my good friends in the house. Teyona was consistent through out, but in person she doesn't look like a model. How did you like living in New York City and the Top Model house?What kind of things did you guys do during your spare time in the house? Allison and I are super artistic. We like to draw, we drew all of the pictures of Tyra in the house. There wasn't a lot to do, you couldn't even see out the window... it was like being on lock down. I would also hang out with London, she was my good friend in the house,we talked about boyfriends and stuff. I also liked to cook, I always cooked in the house. [What kind of food do you cook?] I cook French food, I made crepes. I can also make pasta sauce. I made pancakes...blueberry...banana... breakfast is my favorite food to cook.[later] I liked being in New York. Yes, it was cold to me - I am from California, but it was beautiful - Central Park... Times Square... WallStreet. If modeling takes me to New York, I'd definitely go there. The apartment was huge, it was three stories tall and decorated beautifully. The place was $15 million, I have never been in a place like that in my life. There were pictures of Tyra all over the place,which was weird. Who did you clash with most in the house? Aminat seemed to be in your face a lot, was she like this to you through out the entire cycle? I only got into a couple of little fights with Aminat. She would upset me at the time, but it wouldn't last long, it isn't worth it staying angry. As you saw on TV, when she was getting up in my face, it didn't faze me. It takes a lot to make me angry. How did you feel about Celia's actually making the announcement to the judges about Tahlia? We were all talking about it in the room, how Tahlia had been moping around all day long and that she wanted to go. If she didn't want to be there, then it is unfair for her to stay over girls who wanted to be.[Later] when panel was ending and Kourtnie was leaving... when I saw Celia go up to Kourtnie, I though t she was just going to give Kourtnie a goodbye hug, and then when she started talking, I was like "Whoa!" Ithought it was the right thing to do, but not the right time. Tyra makes the decision and Tyra had made her decision. Tell us about being in Brazil, why weren't you impressed? I loved Brazil... it was amazing! When we got to Brazil we went straight to the botanical gardens. When I said I wasn't impressed with Brazil, I was not impressed with Brazil...yet. What was your favorite photo shoot? My favorite shoot was the Brazil shoot. The sun was in my face...the little kid s in the shoot had a lot of energy, they were so excited,I just vibed off their energy. The comment about me not being happy about being in a poor area and kids being in the picture... it was cutand pasted together. Other people talked about the area, it wasn't just me. When we saw it, my mom and I looked at each other and were like,"what the heck?" What was the most consistent positive and negative feedback that you got from the judges? The most consistent positive feedback was that my pictures were pretty, sometim es they would say stunning or beautiful. I consider that a good compliment. The bad was that I was boring. I don't know if they meant my pictures or personal ity. I don't know how the judges expected us to show personality, when I tried to speak at the last panel, they shut me down after two words. You should have seen them when I was trying to speak, they gave me the dirtiest looks, They do n't want any one to say anything at panel, but then they want to see personali ty. Which judge (or judges) do you think supported you the most? Tyra in the beginning. Paulina was harsh, once Tyra said to Paulina that my picture was beautiful, Paulina did not agree and said it was ugly. That was harsh, I have never been called ugly. People make it seem like the modeling industry is horrible, but the people I have met have been sweet and nice. I have not met a mean casting director orclient. You have to be prepared for certain things, but not people calling you ugly. I didn't let those things faze me. The non-makeover makeover. I was waiting 8-9 hours and then the two Jays and John, the studio owner came over to me and John just pushed my head down and they said that they were going to cut off all my hair. I was like, "can I just breathe for a minute?" He cut my hair, probably a couple of inches, but then they threw a lot of hair on the floor, it was all a prank. Now tell me, wouldn't anyone who had long hair freak out? People have always commented on what nice hair I have, "never cut your hair," they told me. Now I have blond highlights...Gisele Bundchen hair. Who are your favorite models and designers? Gisele Bundchen, she will always be my favorite. Of the newer faces,I like Hilary Rhoda. I also like Cindy Crawford. I am not into the weird alienesque models, I like the classic beauties. I like Dolce& Gabbana... also Versace. Versace makes elegant clothes, I like their black dresses. I like the glamor and colorfulness of Dolce &Gabbana's clothes Are you aware of the comments that have been made about you on the ANTM sites? Do you think that you have been judged fairly by the internet fans? Yes, I've read a couple of blogs, they said that I had a horrible personality.. . and how could I be so arrogant and cocky? Well it's the way that I was edited to look, that is not who I am. People always told me that I was a nice person and I have a nice personality. I guess after Sandra left, they needed someone to stir things up. They tried to edit me to look like a spoiled brat and they succeeded. Is there any thing that you would do differently? I would skip the show and do it on my own. But like I said before the publicity helps. It's just that... parents would come up to myparents and say "how could you let your daughter act like that? It isupsetting that I have to defend a fake persona. What are your plans, do you plan to pursue modeling? I love modeling, it is my passion... my dream!
