DENVER, Oct. 27 -- The Denver Nuggets have waived F/C Mark Pope, C Eric
Chenowith, C Nigel Dixon and F Theron Smith, team General Manager Kiki
Vandeweghe announced today.
Pope appeared in three preseason games, averaging 0.3 rpg and 0.3 apg in 4.7
minutes. He has played in 13 regular season games for the Nuggets over the
past two seasons.
Chenowith saw action in five preseason games, starting once, and averaged 3.8
ppg and 3.4 rpg in 12.4 minutes.
Dixon played in two preseason contests, averaging 2.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg in 11.0
minutes. He grabbed 13 rebounds against Washington 10/21. Smith appeared in
two games, averaging 10.5 ppg and 3.5 rpg in 22.0 minutes, while shooting
.909 (10-11) from the field.
