NOEL GALLAGHER wants to form a Man City-supporting band to record an
official club song.
The rocker says: “It wouldn’t be a bad supergroup —
JOHNNY MARR,
BILLY DUFFY,
DOVES,
DAMON GOUGH,
MIKE PICKERING and
RICK WAKEMAN.
And don’t dis Rick — he’s one of us.
“There’s a guy out of the
SUPER FURRY ANIMALS and two guys out of
THE CORAL too.”
He adds:
“I’d probably also say yes to doing an FA Cup Final record
too — then sober up and say, ‘Hang on a minute, I can’t be writing
an FA Cup song’.
