If you think about it, most starting centers in the league, should only be backup centers to begin with. Center is not the strongest position in the L today. A lot of people refer to the west as big, but it's the 4 spot where all of the stars are. With Shaq gone, the only true centers in the west are Yao, Miller, Vlade, Ratliff and Dampier. Other than that most of the centers in the west are weak, and the backups even worse.
