WASHINGTON -- Antonio McDyess isn't about to complain.

Sure, he has had more productive seasons. He could probably do with some more
playing time and maybe even a more consistent role in the offense. He most
certainly could do without the broken nose and protective mask (which he
detests to the point of distraction).
的确，他前几季的数据都比今年漂亮。但他自认他的身体状况仍足以应付比现在更多的上
场时间，也能在攻击上担任（比现在）更吃重的角色。在解除会让他分心的拘束具後，他

But, at the wise age of 31, all he needs for relief is to look first at the
calendar (which shows the playoffs are less than six weeks away) and the
standings (where the Pistons still hold the best record in the game).
不过，年届老球皮之年（31岁）的他，目前该在意的应该是月历上的时间（从上面可以发
现，原来季後赛只离现在不到六个星期了）还有球队的排名（活塞目前仍以50胜高居全联

"I'm comfortable, man, I really am," he said before shoot-around Saturday
morning.Comfortable, yes. Content, not so much.

Last season, McDyess contributed 9.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, shot 51.3 percent
from the field and 65.6 percent from the free-throw line and averaged 23.3
minutes last season. He averaged 10 points and seven rebounds in the NBA
Finals.
上一季袋鼠每场平均上场23.3分钟，9.6分和6.3篮板，投篮命中率51.3％，罚球命中率
65.6％。
This season, he is producing 6.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, shooting 48.8 percent
from the field and 58.6 percent from the line in 19.9 minutes.

48.8％，罚球命中率也降到不及格的58.6％。
"Overall, from a team standpoint, he's been pretty productive with what we have
asked from him," coach Flip Saunders said.

From McDyess' standpoint, he wants to do more. He concedes that the broken
nose has set him back. He was going to have surgery last week but decided
against it. He had been playing at a high level before he took a hard shot in
the face in New Jersey on Jan. 31.
不过如果你问袋鼠他自己的观点，他会跟你说他希望能有更多的表现机会。他承认鼻梁受
伤的确是他今年效率减退的主要原因。上上礼拜他终於决定面对事实，动手术治疗断掉的

"I was kind of scared to go in there and rebound at the beginning," McDyess
said. "With all the jumping around and flapping of arms and elbows, I was
scared I was going to get hit. So I was sort of staying out on the perimeter
watching everybody rebound.
「一开始的时候我不太敢到篮下去，更别说抢篮板了，」他说。「触目所及都是跳来跳去
的人，手臂和手肘满天挥舞，我真的很担心再被K到。所以我变得有点『竖仔』，都龟在外
面看着他们抢篮板。」
"Then I realized, whatever happens is going to happen and I starting trying to
be more aggressive going to the boards -- with or without the mask."
「不过後来我想开了，我试着不去在意可能会受伤的风险。於是我开始打得更积极一些，
也敢到篮下争抢篮板了－－就算没戴着保护用的面罩也一样。」
Offensively, McDyess feels like he's been solid, even with the last two icy
shooting games (he's made one of his last 11 shots). But he doesn't believe his
role on the offensive end is the same as last season.

When asked if the nearly four minutes less per game made a significant
difference, he said, "Yeah, it does. It makes a difference to me. From 19 to 23
, that's totally different. But I'm just taking it in stride and waiting for
the playoffs.

Saunders is somewhat torn. Because Rasheed Wallace has been healthy and so
productive, Saunders has been unwilling to take him out. Wallace's minutes have
increased nearly two per game. Also, after the nose injury, McDyess's
production waned.
老桑目前正陷入两难的局面，因为同位置的溪蛙现在也很健康，表现也很优，老桑实在舍
不得、也没理由把他换下来。其实最近溪蛙的上场时间甚至还增加了近两分钟，毕竟袋鼠
的数据在鼻子受伤後明显下滑是事实啊…
"When you've been hit as much as he has, you have a tendency to hold back,"
Saunders said. "He's trying to fight through it. He will be OK. I probably do
need to play him a few more minutes, but really, overall, I think Dyess has
been fine."
「如果你也受了像他鼻子一样的伤，你一定会想多休息，不会想多上场的，」老桑说。

Tony Delk had his best game as a Piston. He had 16 points, including 12 in the
second quarter to keep the Pistons in the game, even if briefly. "He was
providing some energy," Saunders said. "That's why we stayed with him." Delk
made 6 of 13 shots. Strange, though, the Pistons are 2-3 since Delk arrived.
Delk打出了他来到活塞的最佳表现。他全场攻下16分，其中有12分是在第二节拿到的，他

Acker will remain with the developmental league in Fayetteville, N.C., for the
rest of the NBDL season. After Saturday, Fayetteville had 13 more games, with
the season ending April 8.

Acker is averaging 14.8 points and 3.8 assists and Johnson 15.5 points and 8.8

…So what is the cost of victory? The Charlotte Observer figured the Pistons
were paying about $800,000 per victory (computing the 49 victories against the
team's $59 million payroll). The Knicks, conversely, were paying about $5.4
million per victory (17 against a $123 million payroll).
