1、皇家在主场横扫红袜，是15年来第一次；而五连败也是红袜2004以来最差成绩；
最近两年对皇家：主场6胜0负、客场1胜5负（今年还有三场主场未打）。
2、Schilling这场被敲了10支长打（9支二垒安打、1支全垒打），37年来单场被敲长打
最多的投手，失五分吞下第五败，无法成为本季第一位15胜投手。

单场最高纪录是1883年Buffalo的George Derby，被打16支长打。
3、Schilling自从2004/06/14掉了两分非自责分後，已连续54场先发没有掉过非自责分，
超越了自己在响尾蛇期间（2001-02）缔造的53场。
4、Mirabelli缺席四场後的第一个打席打出了阳春全垒打，红袜先驰得点；皇家四局下
Sanders二垒安打一分打点追平比数；六局下Brown阳春全垒打，皇家2:1领先；七局上
Youkilis二垒安打、Lowell一垒安打，Pena在两好球没有坏球，把外角低球打成429尺
远的三分全垒打，红袜4:2领先；八局下皇家先用三支二垒安打先追平比数，Shealy的
内野安打再打回超前分。
5、Ramirez连25场安打，本季仅次於Utley的35场，这段期间他的打击率0.402。
6、红袜在Varitek缺席後：2胜7负。
7、原本是开开心心地出门，与AL两支战绩最差球队进行对战，最後竟只拿下第一场的

the eighth.
"We've backed ourselves into a little bit of a hole. Now we've got to
find a way to get out of it," he said. "Curt felt felt strong. He was
pitching good. I thought he was inspired when we took the lead. The
