April 27, 2010 - Could a new Mega Man title be on the way? Late last week,
Capcom Japan filed a trademark for "Mega Man Universe," suggesting a new
game featuring the Blue Bomber is in development.
The trademark covers, among other things, game software, downloadable games,
and mobile phone gaming. The name implies this could be a collection of
classic games, another spin-off title, or possibly a browser-based game
rather than another traditional title in the series. Last August, Capcom
filed a trademark for Okamiden, a second game in the Okami franchise for the
DS, a month before officially revealing the title.
Perhaps that means we won't have to wait too long to find out what Mega Man
Universe is.
