Second seed and two-time champion Andy Roddick breezed into the third round
with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Ramon Delgado. Despite serving at just 61 percent,
Roddick faced just one break point (which he saved) while converting three of
four break point opportunities.
Roddick said: "I feel really motivated, I can't wait to get out there and
play. I played solid throughout, I wasn't defensive at all. I accomplished a
lot of things that I wanted to. You want to play well whenever you can. This
was a good start to the week. This part of the season is huge for me."
