San Francisco is a city that has a vibrant Asian-American population, a world famous China Town and a lot to offer visitors in terms of cultural variety. Tim's Philippino-American heritage is well documented and beloved within the City by the Bay's fog. His music choice is perfectly suited. Lincecum chose "Paranoid (remix)" by Linkin Park for his intro song. A blend of hip-hop and metal, headed by an Asian rapper and white lead singer, Linkin Park is just the kind of melting pot sound that fans in the Bay Area adore. Frankly, the fans would probably go wild if he chose to walk to the plate to a Toby Keith tune or the sound of Fran Drescher reading the Bible, but his song taste hits one out of the park anyway. He's known as a nice, quirky guy who likes Zen and surfing, so he's a positive change of pace from the last salary hogging Barry on the team. Zito plays Radiohead's "15 Step," a kind of up-beat but subdued electronic track. While most Bay Area fans would normally go wild for a Radiohead song, this particular track lacks a real kick to it- it's neither something you can dance to nor something you can sing along with, thus becoming a hard sell to fans who bought San Francisco Giants tickets.
