Lincecum, Giants Agree To Two-Year $23MM Deal

9:15am: The Giants and Tim Lincecum have progressed towards a deal and have
delayed their arbitration hearing, according to Yahoo's Tim Brown. The
two-time Cy Young Award winner received a three-year $37MM offer from the
Giants yesterday, but ESPN.com's Buster Olney reported that the sides were
not close to a deal.
Lincecum, who is arbitration-eligible as a Super Two player, filed for $13MM.
The Giants countered with $8MM. Brown speculates that a three-year deal would
cost the Giants over $40MM.
10:13am: MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez hears that a deal between Lincecum and the
Giants appears to be "either done or inevitable" (Twitter link). It doesn't
appear that the two sides will go to a hearing.
10:15am: Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports hears that the two sides have agreed
to a two-year deal. Lincecum would presumably want to break Ryan Howard's
record for a first-year arbitration player and earn $10MM-plus in 2010. A
two-year deal could be worth $25MM or so.
10:28am: Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports tweets that the Giants have agreed to a
multi-year deal with Lincecum, pending a physical. Rosenthal adds that the
Giants offered Lincecum a two-year $21MM deal before, only to see his agents
counter with $25MM for the same years.
10:33am: Lincecum gets $23MM over two years from the Giants, tweets Rosenthal.
10:40am: Calcaterra tweets that Lincecum will make $9.5-10MM in 2010. That
means he won't break Howard's record, which is a surprise.

最後盲肠和老人队敲定，两年23M的合约，较令人意外的是，
盲肠明年球季的薪资可能在9.5-10M之间，
无法打破Ryan Howard第一次薪资仲裁，年薪就破10M以上的纪录。

10:50: Jon Heyman of SI.com tweets the details: Lincecum makes $8MM in 2010,
$13MM in 2011 and a $2MM signing bonus to be split over the two years.
