For the Colorado Rockies, even five days on the road seem like an eternity. Thirteen years after being drafted by the Giants, and at the end of an often-interrupted seven-year journey through the Majors, the 33-year-old Vogelsong will finally get to pitch a top of the first in Sunday afternoon's finale of the series with Colorado. Jorge De La Rosa will oppose him, tasked with helping avoid the Rockies getting swept for the first time this season -- with Saturday night's walk-off loss, Colorado does have its first three-game losing streak, part of a 1-4 road trip that ends Sunday. The Rockies, whose National League West lead over San Francisco is down to two games, have scored 14 runs in their five losses on the trip (sandwiched around a 6-4 triumph Wednesday in Phoenix). The fact Colorado still has the division lead despite losing six of eight overall is indicative of how the Rockies had zoomed out of the gate. Manager Jim Tracy has no doubts the return of that good momentum is just around the corner. "We started 11-2 and we're still doing a successful job of getting people where we need them to be," said Tracy, mindful that the last four losses have all been by one run -- the last three in walk-off fashion. "Picking up the extra hit of late hasn't gone so well. We're not dwelling on it. We've lost a couple of tough games but let's move on. There's still a lot of good about this club from a consistency standpoint that will show up." The home fans will finally see Vogelsong show up Sunday. He's a tough kid," said Giants manager Bruce Bochy, confident in Vogelsang being able to recover from a rough start Tuesday in New York, where the Mets exacted five runs from him in four innings. "He'll bounce back. We just want him to get back to being himself, and that's to locate the ball a little better than what he did in New York." Rockies: Lindstrom keeps zeroing in Right-handed reliever Matt Lindstrom is still working on a scoreless-innings streak. He made it 12 by blanking the Giants in the eighth inning Saturday. That lowered Lindstrom's overall ERA to 0.64. ‧ De La Rosa will take National League starters' third-lowest opponents average (.197) to the mound. Giants: Torres' timetable to be clarified Outfielder Andres Torres, on rehab assignment with his strained left Achilles tendon, will be re-evaluated after he plays through the weekend with Triple-A Fresno. He and Mark DeRosa (left wrist) could both be activated for the Giants' series opener Tuesday against Arizona. ‧ Barry Zito, on the DL with a sprained foot since April 17, is still throwing only on flat ground, with no immediate plans to have him try it off a mound. Worth noting Despite a strong six-inning effort against the Rockies on Saturday, when he allowed one earned run and five hits in six innings, Madison Bumgarner remained winless after seven starts -- believed to be the first time that has happened in the rotation of a defending World Series champion since Joe Fontenot lost all seven of his starts with the 1998 Marlins. --
